Cedar Wood is a deeply grained, beautiful material that is durable and resitant to the elements.
Redwood is a deeply grained, beautiful material. This wood is generally sandblasted to create raised, dimensional graphics. It is then painted to achieve a wide variety of colors. It is available in 1 inch and 1.5 inch thicknesses. Many like the unique character of the wood grain offered using cedar. Others prefer a "green" alternative to cedar wood called HDU high density urethane. HDU can be sandblasted to create the same visual "graininess" as redwood or a smooth finish if desired. Besides being more environmentally tree friendly, HDU is exceptionally durable and resists weathering and rotting.
